Cherie Shepherd is the President of The National Black Business Owners Association (NBBOA), an organization dedicated to bridging the wealth gap through entrepreneurship. In this role, she oversees operations and strategic initiatives, implementing transformative programs such as the '25,000 Black Start-Ups' and the '10 Million Dollar Asset Challenge, NBBOA-U, and other signature programs and events.
Prior to her current position, Cherie founded and led Admins 2 Go, Inc., a WOSB and EDWOSB certified professional virtual administrative and staffing firm. During her tenure, she took the company to profitability within 2 years, serving major clients such as the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Black Chambers, and the United Athletes Foundation. This experience allowed her to build key relationships with C-Level executives and major corporations, honing her skills in administrative excellence and strategic business management, which have been pivotal in her journey to leading NBBOA.
Cherie is also a dedicated SCORE mentor, providing guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs. She is passionate about engaging in community-centric activities, social impact programs, and collaborations that uplift and strengthen communities. Cherie is currently taking business courses through the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
